Emergent Curriculum refers to the process of using spontaneity generated in the daily life of the child.  Age appropriate activities will be done weekly considering the children's interests and stage of development. Television is not part of my programming, the following are just some of the ways your child is learning while having fun under my care:

*Our daily gross motor time is outdoors, it's got too be pouring rain or really cold not to be outside!We usually are in the yard in the morning and in the afternoon we take a neighbourhood walk.  

*Our art component is done weekly, children are exposed to a variey of textures, paints and material.

*Language is grasped by children everyday by conversing with them, singing songs, finger plays and making good use of our library to get a variety of books to choose from.

*Self-help and independent skills are encouraged, children learn to feed themselves, brush their teeth, put on their shoes, coats, etc.

*By being in a group setting, children learn to be patient and take turns.

**Monthly calendars will be given at the beginning of each month with special activities highlighted.
